CURRENT SERIES
I have two current projects that combine woodturning and printmaking.
IN FORM | IN PRINT: the story of the tree in multiple dimensions. I sculpt a 3D form and make 2D impression of the tree’s growth pattern.
REVOLUTIONS: the story of the tree in an alternate format. I turn a cylinder and then make a rolled impression from it. These resemble ancient cylinder seals – stone carved amulets that were impressed into clay to reveal the design or message.
